County Longford / An Longfort
Being an inland county it is a combination of farmland and natural bog, rivers and lakes. On the River Inny is the beautiful town of Ballymahon which is always associated with the poet, Oliver Goldsmith, who was born three miles away. With good fishing and shooting there are splendid opportunities for the sportsman.
