County Leitrim / Co. Liatroim
From high mountains to green hills, from valleys to lakes and to fine rivers, there is a wealth of scenery, to please the sportsman, the fisherman, the walker and the climber. Carrick-on-Shannon is a well known centre for lake and river cruising and the visitor can travel north to Enniskillen or south to Athlone on the river Shannon. It is an attractive town and a fine angling centre. Tullaghan is a little village in the west, where the River Drowes meets the Atlantic and, for the visitor, excellent fishing with a vivacious night-life, and should appeal to all visitors.
